The not-so-new Fox Series, New Girl might not be my best bet for go-to TV show because it's comedy is so slapstick and superficial, leaning on girls' point of view, doesn't have a long term potential as a couch potato staple, merely cute and only has an average entertainment value BUT I keep on downloading it since thirteen episodes ago because I love Zooey Deschanel. Oh, have I mentioned that 500 Days of Summer is one of my favorite movies of all time?
Preppy and very put together Blair is so ages ago; Jess is my new It girl. Here's a roll of my most loved ensembles:
My love affair with Jess' style started with her blue flats. I played this part around six times just because I cannot get over with the shoes paired with the red dress.
She's always in bold, contrasting hues. I think of orange as the most unflattering color but it worked for her. And I want stripes NOW!
I didn't like her shoes but the plum dress is adorable except that it's too short.
This reminds me of Blair without the stockings. I love polka dots, bows, cream, and navy blue.
Perfectly festive but not over the top dress.

She's always in colorwheel tones and normally puts together contrasting or complementary colors. I love her high waist skirts with preppy tops and short dresses all punctuated with ballet flats and the fact that it's very casual and wearable.
On plum dress: you forgot to mention the cute polka dot girls bicycle shorts she wore underneath. :)
